Shanghai Pudong International Airport Starco Maintenance Hanger

The intent of the project was to advance Starco’s ability to carry out aircraft repair and general repairs, in order to enhance its core competitive edge, to expand its market share and to build a foundation for the company’s development.

The airplane service area would be column-free and the capacity of the proposed hangar would meet the related requirements for overhaul and repair. Aircrafts can be driven slowly into the hangar where the head of the aircraft enters first. The hangar’s net height would satisfy the height requirements when any aircraft is raised by the jack and when the undercarriage is folded and unfolded freely.

This maintenance hangar is designed to service one Airbus A380 and two Boeing 747-400 aircrafts simultaneously, as well as other smaller aircraft.
