National Centre for Infectious Diseases

The National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID) in Singapore is a national centre to provide infectious diseases outbreak management and public health preparedness. It will strengthen Singapore’s capabilities in infectious disease prevention and management.

The 330-bed NCID will have new and enhanced outbreak capabilities, including High Level Isolation Units (HLIUs). Surbana Jurong was the appointed infection control reviewer for the project, providing audit and design review services to ensure adequacy and compliance in the aspect of infection control. This project is in collaboration with HGA Architects & Engineers, Ted Jacob Engineering Group, and Infection Control Specialist, Mr. Andrew Streifel.
