The Scotts Tower – A Class Above

The Scotts Tower has won the prestigious FIABCI Singapore Property Awards 2019 in the Residential (High Rise) Category. Organised by FIABCI Singapore, the Singapore chapter of FIABCI Prix d’Excellence recognises projects that display distinction in various aspects of the development. Projects are evaluated on the following criteria – overall concept, architecture and design, development and construction, community benefit and environmental impact, financial and marketing.
The Scotts Tower is a condominium near Singapore’s Orchard Road shopping belt. The luxurious property offers choice 1- to 3-bedroom apartments with ceiling heights of up to 3.35m and private lift access for selected units. It has a Sky Terrace on the 25th floor with magnificent views of Orchard Road. The Scotts Tower Penthouse comprises 3,261 square feet of living space and benefits from panoramic views over the city’s skyline and the Bukit Timah area.
KTP Consultants, a member of Surbana Jurong, is the Civil and Structural (C&S) Engineer for The Scotts Tower. The firm is also the C&S Engineer for other FIABCI award-winning projects. These projects include New Futura which won the highest accolade of World Gold, and Highline Residences in the Residential (High Rise) category, and ARC380 in the Mixed-Use Development Category.

Unlike typical buildings, The Scotts Tower has its entire structure held up by four inward-slanting columns. Its load of 30 storeys is carried by a single, elevated floor plate, instead of extending down to the ground level, making the project more structurally challenging.
